　　蜀锦是指中国四川省成都市所出产的锦类丝织品，起源于战国时期，距今已有2000余年的历史，蜀锦织造技艺是国家级非物质文化遗产之一。蜀锦因其历史悠久、工艺独特，有中国四大名锦之首的美誉。因为汉朝时成都蜀锦织造业便已经十分发达，朝廷在成都设有专管织锦的官员，因此成都被称为“锦官城”，简称“锦城”；而环绕成都的锦江，也因有众多民众在其中洗濯蜀锦而得名。十样锦是蜀锦的主要品种之一。

蜀绣

蜀绣的历史也很悠久，据晋代常璩《华阳国志》中记载，当时蜀中的刺绣已十分闻名，并把蜀绣与蜀锦并列，视为蜀地名产。最初，蜀绣主要流行于民间，分布在成都平原，世代相传，至清朝中叶以后，逐渐形成行业，尤以成都九龙巷、科甲巷一带的蜀绣为著名。当时各县官府所办的"劝工局"也设刺绣科，可见其制作范围之广。当时的生产品种主要是官服、礼品、日用花衣、边花、嫁奁、彩帐和条屏等。
